1.2343 (Electro Slag Remelted, ESR)
2343 ESR Steel Features
2344 ESR steel should be preferred in places requiring higher performance than 2344 steel. It is a standard hot work tool steel with high thermal conductivity and toughness. This steel, which is produced by minimizing the sulfur and phosphorus ratio, can be improved by applying nitration process. 2343 esr steel is melted twice with the ESR method, so that the steel is extra clean and its grain structure gets thinner. In this way, steels are both tougher and have better glossiness.
