2080 Steel (Air Steel) Properties
2080 steel (air steel) is a ledeburitic cold work tool steel with high wear resistance and high carbon content. Thanks to its ability to be air hardened, it is also known as "air steel". 2080 steel has lower toughness than other cold work tool steels. (It is brittle). Its hardenability is very high thanks to its high carbon content.
