2312 Steel (Plastic Mold Steel) General Information

2312 steel is one of the most preferred materials among plastic mold steels. 1.2312, the sulfur element in its content provides easy workability to the material. 2312 steel is not suitable for patterning, especially by acid. The hardness range is 290-330 HB. (Approximately 28-32HRc) 1.2379 is a steel suitable for surface hardening by nitration.
